Packaging Biscotti Amaretti for El Corte Inglés
Once again, the commission involved creating a design with a classic style that aligned with the artisanal and traditional image of Chiostro di Saronno, conveying the high quality of its product. Following our previous edition that focused on the universe of Italian performing arts, our new proposal was to delve into the mythological world of Roman gods related to the firmament and constellations.
The hand-drawn illustration interprets, with numerous details and symbolism, various stories about our celestial sphere, with stars and planets personified as Mercury, Mars, Venus, the Moon, the Sun, the Northern Lights, and the Rainbow. All of them are sheltered by Jupiter and Juno, gods and rulers of the universe and the heavens, depicted in the stone frieze that surrounds the can from the top. As we turn the can, we can see the chromatic transition from dawn to dusk. The beginning of dawn is represented by Aurora, the goddess of dawn who flies with winged horses through the sky to announce the arrival of the Sun riding in his golden chariot. Passing through Mars, the god of war, and Venus, the goddess of love with the morning star, representing the beauty of the sunset with her cherubs. Until we reach Luna, the goddess of the hunt who, accompanied by her faithful deer, brings the starry night. Ending with Mercury, the messenger of the gods who ventures into the deep night. The can is crowned by a lid that displays the zodiac constellations.
As for the finishes, there are ink reserves to reveal golden areas of the metal and numerous volumes in the typography, characters, friezes, and cornices. The result is a collector's can that, with touches of fantasy, tells mythological stories that add magic to the moment of consumption.

Nuevamente, el encargo consistió en crear un diseño de estilo clásico que fuese acorde con la imagen artesana y tradicional de Chiostro di Saronno que trasmitiese la alta calidad de su producto. Tras nuestra anterior edición que se centraba en el universo de las artes escénicas italianas, nuestra nueva propuesta fue adentrarnos en el mundo mitológico de los dioses romanos relacionado con el firmamento y las constelaciones.
La ilustración realizada a mano interpreta con multitud de detalles y simbolismos varias historias sobre nuestro firmamento, con astros y planetas personificados como Mercurio, Marte, Venus, la Luna, el Sol, la Aurora Boreal o el Arco Iris. Todos ellos amparados por Júpiter y Juno, dioses y reyes del universo y de los cielos que figuran en el friso de piedra que rodea la lata por la parte superior. A medida que giramos la lata, podemos ver la transición cromática desde el amanecer hasta el anochecer. El comienzo del alba representado por Aurora, diosa del amanecer que vuela con caballos alados a través del cielo para anunciar la llegada del astro Sol montado en su carro dorado. Pasando por Marte, el dios de la guerra y por Venus, la diosa del amor con el lucero del Alba, representando la belleza del atardecer junto a sus querubines. Hasta llegar a Luna, diosa de la caza que, acompañada por su fiel ciervo, trae la noche estrellada. Para acabar con Mercurio, el mensajero de los dioses que se adentra en la noche profunda. La lata se corona por una tapa que muestra las constelaciones del zodiaco.
En cuanto a los acabados, hay reservas de tinta para dejar ver zonas doradas del metal y multitud de volúmenes en la tipografía, los personajes, frisos y cornisas. El resultado es una lata de colección que, con toques de fantasía, cuenta historias mitológicas que aportan magia al momento de consumo.
